This skin-fermented Pinot Grigio is from the Pintail Ranch Vineyard, located right across from the Sacremento River in Yolo County California. Beginning with destemmed grapes fermented on their skins with native yeast in a closed-top fermenter. After 13 days of maceration, the wine is pressed and completes both primary and malolactic fermentation in neutral French oak, where it rests on the lees for six months. Bottled unfined, it reflects a pure and expressive style. Aromas of vermouth, orange blossom, snapdragon flower, and green tea rise from the glass, while the palate offers a gentle bitterness from skin contact, balanced by mid-palate weight and bright acidity that carry through to a clean, textured finish.
