Harvested by hand and destemmed, this orange wine is made in the style of a red, allowing the juice to macerate with skins and pips for 7 to 15 days to build ripe, supple tannins. Pressed and then aged in barrels for at least eight months, it develops both structure and complexity. The nose opens with layered aromas of bergamot, tea wood, curry, orange peel, and cloves. On the palate, exotic notes of bitter orange and kumquat mingle with a full-bodied texture, leading to a lingering finish of dried fruit and popcorn. With its freshness, tannic grip, and touch of bitterness, this wine pairs beautifully with Asian cuisine or fish served with lightly spiced, grilled sauces.
