When 809 clone grapes weren’t cooperating with the others in the winemaking process, Scribe isolated them and tried something slightly different, fermenting on the skins for 101 days in concrete. The result is an expressive golden-hued wine that has earned its place as a staple annual release. It possesses the soul of a classic chardonnay with notes of bright fruit, green apple, and Anjou pear, as well as nutmeg and subdued spice. It's a more intricate wine that goes great with Moroccan-inspired foods.
