Verduzzo grapes are hand-harvested, de-stemmed, crushed, and left to macerate for eight days in concrete tanks, starting the fermentation naturally. After pressing the partially fermented grapes to extract the remaining juice, everything is blended back together to complete fermentation. The wine is then aged on fine lees, which adds richness, aromatic complexity, and texture, while malolactic fermentation softens the acidity and enhances roundness. This wine pours a deep golden yellow with warm orange highlights. On the nose, it shows vibrant aromas of peach, apricot, and yellow plum, with subtle notes of chestnut honey and candied orange zest. Fresh yet full-bodied, the palate is layered and structured, with gentle tannins and a lingering finish. Bottled the August after harvest, it’s a wine that feels both expressive and approachable.
