Fermented in stainless steel, the wine undergoes natural malolactic fermentation before aging for 12 months in oak barrels and an additional year in bottle. Deep and impenetrable ruby red in color, it clings to the glass with slow, narrow legs that hint at its concentration. The nose is clean and expressive, unfolding with layers of spice, licorice, pepper, and coffee, followed by dark berries such as blackberry and blueberry, with a subtle touch of plum. On the palate, it is full and compelling, with firm tannins that balance the wine’s alcohol and glycerin, finishing clean and composed. A natural match for game, red meats, and aged cheeses.
