The organically farmed vineyards in Austria’s Weinviertel lie on soils formed by an ancient Aeolian Sea. It is a cool climate region with the same longitude as Champagne, making the area ideal for producing bright, high-acid Grüner Veltliner. A brief maceration on the lees adds subtle texture while preserving freshness. A longtime fan favorite and excellent value, this wine is crisp and zippy, with citrus and green apple flavors carried through to a lean, minerally finish, making it an easygoing, reliable house white.
