Scopa Siciliane Rosso is an organic blend of 60% Nero d’Avola, 20% Nerello Mascalese, and 20% Perricone, sourced from vineyards in Partinico, Palermo at 400 meters above sea level. The Nero d’Avola and Perricone grow on south-facing slopes, while Nerello Mascalese is planted to the north, all rooted in soils of 40% sand, 30% loam, and 30% clay. Hand-harvested in September, the grapes undergo six days of maceration before fermentation in stainless steel. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, the wine reflects both purity and place with its vibrant, terroir-driven character. Light to medium in body, it shows notes of red wildflowers, earthy cherry, black raspberry, iron minerality, and a whisper of smoke, finishing with zippy acidity. Best enjoyed with a light chill.
