Pétillant naturel, or pét-nat, is also called the ancestral method. Instead of waiting for the fermentation to end, this cider was bottled in the later stages of the process to create a young, light-bodied, fruit-forward drink that’s hazy and has some light natural carbonation. While it won’t have a lot of the earthy and confectionary aroma that Ploughman’s long maturation bottlings are known for, it will still have that dry finish, with lots of pineapple, watermelon, and mimosa aromas. Just fun, quaffable cider!
