This is the best-known aperitif wine of the French island of Corsica. Made from local and exotic spices, walnuts, and cinchona bark on a base of Corsican Muscat and vermentino mistelles, it possesses tremendous depth with a wonderfully dry finish. Serve neat on ice or with soda or tonic and a citrus peel. Also a fine complement for rye whiskey cocktails.
