Crafted from 100% fortified Viura (Macabeo) in Spain’s Basque Country, this aromatized wine is infused with a selection of blend of botanicals, including gentian root, cinchona bark, quinine, bitter orange peel, Basque lemon verbena, and molasses. The result is a beautifully balanced amaro with layered complexity and a distinctly Iberian character. Medium in body and bittersweet, it opens with earthy herbal notes followed by hints of root beer, cola, menthol, pine, cocoa, vanilla, and warm baking spices. Rich yet refreshing, it finishes with a gentle bitterness that makes it equally enjoyable served neat, over ice, or in classic aperitivo cocktails.
