The Mediterranean grapes used for this organic wine out of Australia were handpicked and immediately cooled after harvest to preserve fruit quality. The result is a fragrant, medium-bodied blend that radiates aromas of blueberry, plum, dark chocolate, and herbs. There are crunchy red-black berry fruit characters and light sweetness that is coupled to ultra spicy notes and a squeaky, tangy, herb-laced finish. Good fun, but with a serious undertow in the complexity stakes.
