Suitable for vegans and vegetarians, this elegant and grippy wine out of South Africa’s Swartland has a charming nose of black pepper, red and black fruits, and earthy spice, accompanied by incredibly pure fruit, fresh acidity, and fine tannins. The grapes are sourced from a single, organically farmed vineyard on the outskirts of Malmesbury and are 100% whole-bunch fermented. Aging takes place in old 500-liter French oak barrels for 10 months, after which it is bottled without fining or filtering.
