“Halagasha” is the Xhosa term that this South African tribe uses when celebrating the score of a soccer goal. Pinotage is a celebration of what can be achieved with this local Swartland variety, and Halagasha is just one of many examples of this diverse style. Whole-bunch fermented under semi-carbonic conditions for eight days in stainless steel tanks, this wine is then aged for five months in 225 L barrels, after which it spends four weeks in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
