This vintage was accelerated by about 20 days, but because the beltza grapes are picked early for the rosé, it avoided a late summer heat spike, making it a beauty in balance of ripe fruits, salty terroir, and the perfect pepper prickle. Dry, with citrus and wildflower aromas, and a sea breeze salinity (due to being close to the Atlantic), the finish includes a touch of watermelon juice. This is a very refreshing, natural wine that pairs with tapas and is lovely with seafood.
